Two days of protocol high above the city center

This is how the Two Day Protocol Training ended today. Twelve participants were awarded the certificate of the Institute of Protocol The Hague after following an extensive protocol course for professionals.

The training was held in the busy center of The Hague, on the tenth floor of the public library. High above the city twelve participants were schooled in all the aspects of modern protocol by five experts: Master of Ceremonies of Queen Beatrix Gilbert Monod de Froideville, etiquette specialist Jan Jaap van Weering, stagemanager Rebecca van Leeuwen, event manager Jeannette van Namen and director of the institute Jean Paul Wijers.

The Two Day Protocol Training covers all the basics that are needed to manage a visit of dignitaries or an event with VIP's. To what type of meeting is protocol applicable and how are these meetings organised? What is the right order of precedence and which guests rank most highly? How to be aware of the sensitivities when placing guests? What rules of behaviour apply to official meetings?

This is the Dutch version of the protocol training, on 26 and 27 June the training will be given in English among others by the Portuguese foremost protocol expert Isabel Amaral, UK's number one etiquette expert William Hanson and Gilbert Monod. Bengt-Arne Hulleman of the International Criminal Court will give a guest lecture.

All Two Day Protocol Trainings include two lunches, an etiquette dinner, all class material and a framed certificate of the Institute of Protocol The Hague.
