The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was established in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the legendary founder of the sponsor champagne house. The award is now live in 16 countries and is the first international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women have made to business life.

Over 350 guests were present in the beautifull castle "De Witteburg" for the Dutch Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award Ceremony to 2011 winner Tecla Bodewes, director of Bodewes Shipyards.
Among the guests many former winners as well as other business women and female representatives of government institutions and international organisations.
The Protocolbureau was as protocol consultant co-creater of the guest list, with a focus on the dignitaries. With its ushers, the Protocolbureau assisted in welcoming and seating of the guests and dignitaries.
